Our Principal Investigator, Dr. John “Chip” Reed, has conducted clinical trials for 30 years. He began conducting trials while in private practice, which allowed him and his staff to bring the most current pharmaceutical research to his patients. As he transitions away from private practice, he continues to focus on research to bring the latest information and advancements to his patients. Clinical research trials provide an opportunity to learn more about new medications and treatments, and to improve the standard of medical care. We are actively involved in several research studies to investigate new, not yet marketed medications, as well as to study current medications for new purposes. All study protocols initiated by our practice are FDA and IRB-monitored and follow very strict criteria. Each study protocol is presented and approved by two separate groups of professionals to ensure your safety. The first group is comprised strictly of ERS medical professionals; the second group is an independent Institutional Review Board (IRB), made up of both medical and non-medical professionals. If you are invited to participate in a study and meet the study criteria, all study visits for the trial, including labs and study medication, will be provided at no cost to you. In many studies, participants are compensated for their time and travel. Endocrine Research Solutions maintains a database of patients who may be interested in future studies.
